Homestead SC
Policies & Forms
Everything a Homestead SC family agrees to, in one place. We publish this openly because no parent should be surprised by a fee or a rule after they've signed up.
Registration & Payment
What your registration fee covers
Your registration fee includes academy membership, your first month's tuition, the full practice uniform (jersey, shorts, and socks), and friendly matches when they are available.
Your monthly billing period begins on your registration date. Once the first month ends, you are responsible for any prorated charges through the end of that calendar month.
Friendly matches are not guaranteed. If none are scheduled in a given period, no refund, credit, or adjustment is provided.
When and how you pay
| Due date | The 10th of every month |
| Paying cash | Accepted, as long as it reaches us before the 10th |
| Paying by card | If we have not received payment by the 10th, the card on file is charged automatically |
| Past due | Players cannot train or play in matches until the balance is cleared |
| Billing cycle | Four weeks per month. Months with a fifth week are never charged extra — this is how we close for national holidays without changing your bill |
| Membership term | One year. At the end of the term you either renew or cancel |
Every family must keep a valid credit or debit card on file, including families who intend to pay in cash.
Attendance and missed sessions
Once you pay the membership fee, you are committing your player to attend both training sessions and matches.
- No refunds or make-up days for missed sessions.
- No make-ups for sessions cancelled due to weather or other circumstances outside our control.
- Players enrolled in two fixed days attend only those days. A missed fixed day cannot be made up on the optional third training day.
- The third training day is extra training, available only to players who pay for it separately. Anyone attending it — including to replace a missed session — pays for that session.
Costs Beyond Tuition
Game Day Fee
The Game Day Fee covers everything it takes to put a match on: referees, coaching staff, field rental and preparation, and line painting. It is separate from monthly tuition, registration, and any league or tournament fee.
The Game Day Fee applies to every match — FYSA-sanctioned, outside leagues, and friendlies alike. It must be paid before the match begins, whether or not your player takes the field.
FYSA registration
FYSA is the Florida Youth Soccer Association, the state's official governing body for youth soccer and part of the wider US youth soccer system.
Homestead SC is a registered FYSA affiliate, which means we can process your player's FYSA registration through the club. Registering with the academy does not automatically register your player with FYSA — the two are separate. Families who want to compete in FYSA-sanctioned events complete that registration through us.
Fees for FYSA leagues, tournaments, and cups are charged by the league or event organizer and are not included in academy registration or tuition. Players registered with FYSA are committed to attending all scheduled games; missing a game does not waive the Game Day Fee.
Leagues and tournaments outside FYSA
We also enter leagues and tournaments outside FYSA, chosen because they give families fixed weekend fixtures.
These are optional and not included in registration or monthly tuition. Costs vary by competition and are always communicated to parents in advance. You only pay if you opt in.
If you register and pay for a league or tournament and then do not attend, no refund or credit is issued, regardless of the reason.
Uniform & Equipment
What players must wear
The official Homestead SC practice uniform — jersey, shorts, and socks — is mandatory at every training session and match.
- Cleats are not included and are the family's responsibility.
- Shin guards are required, along with properly fitted footwear and any other protective equipment the rules of the game call for.
- A labeled water bottle is required at every session. Write your player's name on it.
- No chewing gum. No dangling jewelry. Hair tied back securely for the full session.
Uniform purchases are final sale. No returns, refunds, or credits.
Schedule Changes & Leaving the Club
Freezing your membership
You may freeze your account for a minimum of four weeks and a maximum of eight by completing the Freeze form.
During a freeze you pay 30% of regular monthly tuition for each month frozen, based on your enrollment plan (two or three sessions per week). This holds your player's spot.
Your player is expected back on the scheduled reactivation date. Failing to return or communicate within that window may affect continued participation. Freeze payments are non-refundable and cannot be credited toward future tuition.
Cancelling your membership
Cancellation requires two weeks' notice. We do not offer refunds or credits for cancellations, and no exceptions are made.
Exclusive participation
Registered players train and compete with Homestead SC only. Participating with another academy results in a $200 penalty and termination of membership. Neither active membership nor a current payment record exempts a family from that penalty.
Injuries
Injuries that happen outside academy activities do not qualify for a freeze, credit, or tuition adjustment, and monthly tuition continues on schedule.
Injuries that occur during academy activities may qualify for a freeze or adjustment, reviewed case by case.
Age category transitions
Players move between age categories as they get older. We tell you in advance when your player is moving up.
At the Field
Drop-off and pick-up
Sessions start exactly on time and are not extended for late arrivals. Practices end at the scheduled time and parents are expected to be there.
- Parents of players under 6 must remain at the park for the entire session.
- If your player needs to leave early or skip part of a session, tell staff before taking them.
- There is a 30-minute grace period after the last session ends. After that, late pick-up is $10 for every additional 15 minutes.
Conduct and responsibility
Players who compromise the safety or integrity of a session may be dismissed from that session or activity, with no refund or credit. Families are responsible for damage or liability caused by their player's actions or their own, and for any guests they bring to the premises.
Homestead SC does not assume responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.
Medical and risk acknowledgment
Soccer carries inherent risk of physical injury, including falls and collisions. By signing the Instruction Agreement, families assume those risks and confirm their player is in proper physical condition to participate, agreeing to inform the coach if that changes.
Families authorize Homestead SC staff to obtain or provide emergency medical treatment when a parent or guardian cannot be reached immediately. All medical costs are the family's responsibility, including emergency care, transportation, treatment, and follow-up.
Photography and promotional use
We photograph and film training sessions, matches, and events. By signing the Instruction Agreement, families grant permission for their player's image to be used on this website, on social media, and in marketing materials, without compensation.
If you would prefer your player not appear in club media, tell us at registration and we will note it.
How We Communicate
Official channels
Text message and our academy app are the official channels. All announcements are published there and parents are expected to check them.
At registration your family is added to your player's category group chat, where schedules, matches, changes, and announcements are shared. Staying informed through that channel is the family's responsibility — we can't be responsible for missed information or absences that come from unread messages.
Group chats are for academy announcements. Individual questions, concerns, and personal matters go by direct message, which keeps the group useful for everyone.
